Best intentions and all that. I wanted to re-start my blog as soon as the new year arrived. So I’m already 13 days late on what I planned on being my ‘love affair’ project for 2014. Not the best start but I’m here now so Hello and Happy New Year.
One of my resolutions (there are many!) is focused on skincare. On the wrong side of 40, I figured it’s time to stop waking up with my party mascara caked to my lashes. With a husband who brings me the most amazing beauty lotions and potions (thanks to his super generous clients) and skincare I’ve amassed from French summer holidays now is the moment to work my way through the bottles jammed into my bathroom cabinet.
So in my first post of the new year I thought I’d share my favourite beauty products from the last couple of weeks.
CAUDALIE Vinosouce S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum, 30ml.
God I love this product! Most mornings my skin feels dry and dull, especially at this time of year. This serum works a treat. Formulated with extracts of grape water it really hydrates the skin and I use it under my daily moisturiser. I bought this product last summer at the local hypermarket in the South of France. I love the fact that truly amazing skincare can be bought in the supermarket. It was probably half the price that is here so well worth buying if you’re ever in France. If you’re not and you fancy trying it, you can buy it here.
Philosophy Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Retinoid Eye Repair, 15ml.
I’ve got my Dad to thank for bags under my eyes (I’ve had them since I can’t remember when) and so I’m not expecting miracles but this serum is thick and soothing. It makes my eyes feel looked after, when usually they feel unloved and neglected.
A fantastic product and one Mr B gave me from a lovely client. You can find it here.
And finally another French pharmacy buy and a bathroom cabinet essential.
BIODERMA Crealine TS H2O, 500ml.
Now here’s a product you need to get your hands on. Amazing. Use it to remove eye make up, use it as a toner. Just use it, you’ll love it. The only place I could find it online was ebay or amazon where it retails at just over £13.00. I picked up a massive bottle in France for a couple of Euros. It’s so cheap over there and all the supermarkets sell it. A real must have beauty buy and one I’m using twice a day, every day.
That’s the top three products from my beauty resolution list. Loads more on there but I’ll save them for another post.
And don’t forget to post in the comments section below if you have any beauty finds to share. I’d love to hear about them.
Until next time…
